Introduction to General Engineering Technology Instruction
Training Certificate
Overview
This two-part course series is designed to prepare and certify high school teachers to deliver General Engineering Technology (GET) dual enrollment courses. The program provides both technical content mastery and instructional alignment to support effective college-level teaching in a high school setting.
Participants will engage in hands-on and conceptual learning across core engineering and technology domains, including engineering foundations (DC and AC circuits, motors, generators, and magnetism), essential mathematics and physics concepts, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), applied computing, simulation tools, and manufacturing processes. The series also emphasizes dual enrollment instructional alignment to ensure curriculum, assessments, and instructional practices meet postsecondary standards.
