ATI TEAS for Allied Health

Preparing for the ATI

A limited knowledge of computers is required to take this exam. Scores are reported immediately upon completion of the test.

The ATI TEAS study manual can be used to prepare for the ATI TEAS for Allied Health exam. The study manual is available for purchase online at www.atitesting.com. The MTC libraries at both the Airport and Beltline campuses will include the study manual for reference use only. Candidates must wait six months before a retest is allowed.

The areas of testing for the ATI TEAS include essential mathematical skills, reading comprehension, science, and English/language usage. The test will contain a total of 170 questions. The total testing time is three hours and 29 minutes. Answer each question to the best of your ability because there is no penalty for guessing, and unanswered questions will be marked incorrect.

How to Register

All candidates for the ATI TEAS for Allied Health must schedule their exam by going to https://www2.registerblast.com/midlands-airport/Exam/List and selecting a test date and time. At the time of registering, you will need to pay a test fee of $80.00. This fee is set annually and is subject to increase without notice.

Required for testing: Create a user name and password to register with ATI Allied Health. Bring your username and password with you to the exam. When completing the registration, select Midlands Tech College AH for your institution. Please arrive 30 minutes early on the day of your test. Exemption and Credit:

A student who places into a course above 101 and makes a grade of C or better will receive exemption credit for the course(s) below the one for which the grade was given.

However, a student who exempts all courses cannot receive any credit, since we have no way of validating the student's knowledge. That student may take the CLEP for credit if desired.

NOTE: Students who successfully complete a course above 101 with a grade of C or better must contact the Humanities Department in order to have this credit awarded. The exemption is not automatic but can be done quickly once the department is notified.

If a student who exempts all the courses offered at MTC for the particular foreign language elects not to take the CLEP exam, then the student should contact the college to which he or she plans to transfer to determine which course to enroll in at that college.

Do I need to take the FLPT?  Click to login to your MyMTC and find out if the foreign language placement test is a requirement for you.

Mandatory Prerequisites:
  • Students must abide by the results of the test, and may not take a class either lower or higher than the one into which they place.
  • Instructor assessment of a student's work in the first week of class may be used for re-determining placement at another level.
  • Students must have the required prerequisite class or score to be permitted to enroll in a foreign language course at any level.
