Wintermester: Courses during Winter Break

This special 3-week mini-mester starts December 18 and ends January 7.

Our online winter courses are a great way to catch up, get ahead on your degree plan, or complete a prerequisite.

Who can take online winter courses?

Any college student can take advantage of our Wintermester online winter courses. Registration and orientation will look a little different depending on what type of student you are.

Winter Semester FAQs

How many credits can I earn through an online course during the winter semester?

You can earn three or four credits through our online winter courses depending on which class you choose.

These courses pack a significant amount of material into a short time frame, so the time commitment is large. This is why we only allow students to take one online course during the winter.

Do credits transfer to different institution?

MTC has 80+ transferable courses that are guaranteed to transfer to other colleges and universities offered at MTC.

Do I need to be a resident of the Midlands to enroll?

Students are not required to live in the Midlands to enroll in online winter courses at MTC. However, we recommend that new students refrain from starting in the winter because of the workload and short time frame. If you have questions, click here to review our admissions requirements or contact the admissions office at admissions@midlandstech.edu or 803.822.6714.

What is the time commitment for winter courses?

Wintermester courses start December 18 and end January 7.
