Overview
The MSSC Certified Production Technician (CPT®) 4.0 program is a nationally recognized credential designed to validate the foundational competencies required of today’s manufacturing workforce. The certification is awarded to individuals who successfully complete assessments in four core areas: Safety; Quality Practices and Measurement; Manufacturing Processes and Production; and Maintenance Awareness. Students learn how to work safely in industrial environments and prevent accidents, which is critical in manufacturing settings. Students gain an understanding of how products are made from start to finish on the production floor with an emphasis is on keeping equipment running efficiently and minimizing downtime.

The MSSC Certified Production Technician program is a part of the Ready. Set. Hired. Manufacturing program and prepares you for an entry level manufacturing career in as little as 8 to 12 weeks. You will gain the skills needed for entry-level manufacturing careers and earn an industry recognized credential. Graduates who earn the certification will interview for jobs with local employer partners who are actively hiring.
