Strategic Development Group has given $12,000 to the Midlands Technical College Foundation to fund scholarships for students in QuickJobs.

“MTC’s QuickJobs training programs are a proven contributor to workforce preparation in the Midlands and we are grateful for the investment that Strategic Development Group is making in MTC.  For the unemployed and underemployed, a QuickJobs scholarship can be life-changing,” said Nancy McKinney, CEO of the Midlands Technical College Foundation.

“Strategic Development Group provided this gift to advance workforce readiness in a rapidly evolving business environment,” said Mark L. Williams, President of Strategic Development Group. “The mission and success of Midlands Technical College is critical to enhancement of the business climate in South Carolina and we are confident this gift will create significant positive results.”

By next year, it is estimated that 82% of all job openings in South Carolina will require a two-year education or a specialized certificate or training MTC provides both in Fairfield, Lexington and Richlands Counties of South Carolina.  “MTC is committed to working with partners such as Strategic Development Group to help strengthen South Carolina,” said MTC President Ronald L. Rhames.
