Education program covers both textbook and hands-on practical training preparing you to work with clients one-on-one in fitness facilities. Students participate in lectures including anatomy, exercise physiology, and nutrition. Prior to obtaining their certification, students must become Adult CPR/AED certified and pass the national exam given the last week of class. Course is designed for transitional careers and personal knowledge in personal training. Practical sessions are held at a local fitness facility. Textbook is required and not included in course fees. Reading and studying outside of class is imperative for successful class completion and passing the exam. Prior to obtaining the Personal Trainer certification students must pass the national exam given the last week of class. Students are also required to become Adult CPR/AED certified.
