Presidential Search Timeline

November 9, 2023: ACCT facilitates a series of open public forums to solicit input for the development of a Draft Presidential Profile.
Mid-November 2023: Search Committee training and orientation; Committee receives, reviews, and edits the draft Presidential Profile. The Commission to review, discuss, edit, and finalize the Presidential Profile.
Mid-November 2023: Position is open and advertised. The Presidential Profile is posted on midlandstech.edu and acctsearches.org. ACCT conducts targeted local, state-wide, and national one-to-one recruitment.
January 30, 2024: Target Date for Receipt of Applications. Position open until filled.
Mid-February 2024: Search Committee Meeting: discussion and selection of confidential semifinalist candidates.
Late February 2024: Search Committee Meeting: Confidential interviews with semifinalists. The Search Committee deliberates and selects finalists to forward to the Commission for further consideration.
Mid-March 2024: Finalists interview with the Commission, tour campuses, participate in open public forums, meet with direct reports.
Early April 2024: Commission announces the next President of Midlands Technical College.
July 1, 2024: Start date for next President or as agreed upon by the President-elect and the Commission.
