Tom Schlictman Named Associate Vice President of Philanthropy for Midlands Technical College

Tom Schlictman has been named Associate Vice President of Philanthropy for Midlands Technical College (MTC) and CEO of the MTC Foundation.

Since joining MTC in 2001, he has served as Director of Development, Executive Director of Development, and most recently, Interim Associate Vice President of Philanthropy for the MTC Foundation.

Schlictman brings more than 31 years of philanthropy experience supporting regional higher education. In his roles, he has secured more than $10 million in philanthropic support through individual major gifts, corporate partnerships, and private foundation grants.

His work at MTC has included managing a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors; developing corporate and private partnerships that support workforce development, scholarships and academic programs; and working with college leadership, faculty and program directors to identify funding opportunities.

Schlictman earned a Master of Education from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Florida. He is also active in the community, serving as a member and board member of the Rotary Club of Lexington and as its president in 2025-2026, and previously as president of the Lexington Area Tennis Association.
