MTC President Dr. Greg Little Recognized as a 2025 “50 Most Influential” People Honoree by Columbia Business Monthly

Midlands Technical College (MTC) President Dr. Gregory Little has been selected as a member of the 2025 “50 Most Influential” class by Columbia Business Monthly. In the January/February 2026 issue, 50 honorees were recognized for their important contributions to the Midlands over the past year.

Dr. Little’s Profile from Columbia Business Monthly

Gregory D. Little, Ed.D., became the seventh president of Midlands Technical College (MTC) in Columbia, South Carolina, on July 1, 2024. Little began his career as a seventh-grade language arts teacher in Durham, North Carolina. He later became an English instructor with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and also served in leadership roles as Lexington County School District One Superintendent, vice president of Strategic Partnerships and Innovation for the South Carolina Technical College System, and most recently as the interim president and CEO for the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education. Little serves on numerous boards of directors, including the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Columbia Urban League, CentralSC Alliance, and the Central Midlands Council of Governments. Little is an ex officio member of the MTC Foundation Board. He and his wife Julie live in Lexington County and have two daughters.
