Midlands Technical College Foundation Golf Classic Raises $200,000+ for Military Families

The Midlands Technical College Foundation raised a record-breaking $200,000 at its fifth-annual MTC Golf Classic held at Cobblestone Park Golf Club on Monday, October 13, 2025. Over the past five years, the tournament has raised over half a million dollars for scholarships for veterans, current service members, and their families. 

Scholarships are designated for MTC’s QuickJobs programs, which offer students fast-paced, comprehensive training for high-demand careers. Most programs can be completed in a few months, with some spanning only a few weeks.

The presenting sponsor for the Golf Classic was Southeastern Freight Lines. Blanchard Machinery and Hood Construction were premier sponsors, along with 41 other businesses, organizations, and individuals that provided substantial support. 

“Training scholarships are especially valuable to those who answer the call to serve and their families,” said Nancy McKinney, CEO of the MTC Foundation. “Thank you to our community partners and board of trustees members for helping advance the work MTC is doing in the Midlands.”
