Dec 17, 2025
Midlands Technical College (MTC) held its fall commencement ceremony December 16, 2025 at the Colonial Life Arena.
This fall, 498 academic candidates were eligible for graduation, which included 395 associate degrees, 15 diplomas, and 136 certificates. Of those, 32 were dual enrollment students, 138 received LIFE scholarships, and 64 received Veterans Affairs benefits.
In his address to the graduates, MTC President Dr. Greg Little said, “Some of you are going to run towards danger as paramedics; some of you are going to comfort a child before they take an X-ray; some of you will weld the framework of our future. And some of you are going to go to be Gamecocks, or Tigers or some other fierce mascot. But never forget—you are first and foremost Mavericks, and at MTC, Every Maverick Matters! Blaze your trail. Work hard. Be willing to do what others can’t or won’t. Know that no matter where you go or what you do, you will always be a Maverick.”
MTC Student Advisory Board president, Ms. Ciara Wallace, said to the graduates, “Keep showing up, keep leading, and keep moving forward toward the future you want, because as of today, you are more than ready for what’s next.”
During the ceremony, Dr. Lamar White, MTC Vice President for Student Affairs, officially recognized the graduates as MTC alumni, a group of more than 95,000 individuals who have, and are, making significant contributions to the Midlands and beyond.
