Introduction to Welding

This course covers the principles of welding, cutting, and basic procedures for safety in using welding equipment.
The Welding Technology Certificate prepares students for employment and advancement in the welding industry. Students will receive training in the latest welding technology as well as the traditional welding skills and a good foundation in basic welding theory, metallurgy and blueprint reading. Safety is stressed throughout the program. These skills will enable students to produce structurally sound and quality welds. Employment opportunities are found in maintenance, construction, manufacturing and other related fields.
