Financial Aid and Tuition

Financial Aid

More than 90% of all MTC students receive financial aid. The first step to getting financial aid, including scholarships, loans, grants, and work study, is to fill out a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Our school code for the FAFSA is 003993.

The FAFSA application for 2017-2018 is available until June 30.  The FAFSA application for 2018-2019 is now open.

What is a priority deadline?

Some forms of student aid, like federal Pell Grants, are essentially unlimited—if you qualify, you will get the money. But other forms of aid are first-come-first-served, because the available pot of money is limited. When you submit your FAFSA by the priority deadline, you’ll be eligible for all the available scholarships and grants. Submitting by the priority deadline also guarantees that you’ll get your award letter and your money before classes start.
