About the Program
The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration program at Midlands Technical College is designed to provide entry-level technicians. Hands-on training is combined with theory to provide students with well-balanced preparation for careers that encompass the planning, installation, operation and maintenance of a wide variety of residential and light commercial air conditioning, refrigeration and heating equipment.
Day classes begin in the fall and spring semesters. Night classes begin in the fall semester only. Only the certificate or diploma courses are offered at night.
Learning experiences for students in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technology program are held in classrooms and workspace in Granby Hall on the Airport Campus.
Students are required to purchase hand tools and personal safety equipment at an approximate cost of $1050.
