College Opportunity Programs
Provides support and services to eligible students in grades 6 – 12 in target schools.
Provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. Upward Bound serves: high school students from low-income families; and high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree.
Provides counseling and information on college admissions to qualified individuals who want to begin or continue college education.
Assists eligible MTC students with the goals of becoming successful and academically competitive.
Recruits, trains, and assists in the certification of African American males interested in becoming elementary school teachers in South Carolina’s public schools.
Through Midlands TechHire, MTC will provide scholarships, training, and job opportunities for the high-growth IT field.
Approximately 1/3 of college-bound high school graduates in the Midlands are served by MTC.
