This 120 hour online course developed by the National Career Development Association is a hybrid, combining 3 required onsite sessions with the remainder of the coursework done through web-based instruction, use of the course textbook (included in fee), and independent study. The first two onsite sessions, held at the Northeast Campus, are two consecutive week days from 9:00 - 5:00 pm. The 3rd onsite session (graduation) is TBD. Completion of this course supports application for the GCDF and CCSP credentials.

Infiltration Anethesia Refresher for Den

This one day course is design to improve a dental hygienists' ability to help with pain control for dental hygiene procedures via infiltration anesthesia. This course is NOT for individuals that need the course in order to take the LLR exam to get license in SC for infiltration anesthesia. This course IS for individuals that have an 1) infiltration anesthesia RDH license from SC 2) RDH license from SC that successfully completed an approved course in local infiltration anesthesia within the past three years but hasn't taken the exam yet; 3) or been certified in another state to perform infiltration anesthesia within the past three years with a SC RDH license. The aim of the course is to build confidence of giving anesthesia and to pass the LLR infiltration anesthesia board. We will cover lectures on how much anesthesia to give a person and who can get what kind of anesthesia. We will go over landmarks and administer at least 6 injections on each other.
