Overview

Like marketing but don't know which area is for you yet? Then choose the IMC Certificate – the broadest of MTC's marketing programs.

Students will gain knowledge and real-world skills in the classical areas of marketing such as sales, advertising, retail, research, and creating marketing campaigns. Graduates can enter the workforce ready for a variety of marketing roles such as Territory Managers, Marketing Specialists, Marketing Research Analysts, and Assistant Marketing Managers within small businesses.

This can be taken as a stand-alone certificate or as part of the Marketing Associate Degree program.

Sample Program Plan and Costs

Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in all of the courses offered within the Business and Public Service Department for the grade to be counted toward graduation. Specifically, these include courses with the following prefixes: ACC, BAF, BUS, MGT, and MKT.

On-Campus Traditional. Classes meet on campus.
Virtual 100% online. Meets with a live instructor and classmates on specific days, at specific times. Uses web conferencing software, like Zoom.
Hybrid Some classes on campus. Some classes online or virtual.

Marketing Coordinator

The goal of marketing is to raise awareness to drive exposure and sales for a company. The goal of the marketing coordinator is to develop and execute plans and strategies to accomplish that. A marketing coordinator stays informed about the industry, trends, and the competitive landscape while helping strategize and implement marketing, branding, and advertising plans. Day to day, he or she may draft reports, create or coordinate content, track results, build relationships with sales teams, and otherwise support all marketing strategies.
