Early Care and Education

This program focuses on child growth and development, health and safety, curriculum, family engagement, guidance, and offers hands-on experience in a variety of nationally accredited child care and early education facilities.

Future Teachers

Students planning a teaching career can begin their degree at Midlands Tech, but they must finish an appropriate degree somewhere else and complete the State Department of Education's requirements for teacher certification.

Human Services

Students will develop a broad understanding of the causes, nature and consequences of human behavior.


American Sign Language Certificate

The American Sign Language (ASL) certificate is designed to prepare students for careers in the growing field of ASL communication and interpretation.

Early Childhood Development

Focuses on how to build language and literacy rich environments, appropriate math and science skills, an inquiry based approach to learning about the world, and safe, healthy environments which promote the emotional and social well-being of children.

Gerontology Certificate

This programs helps students learn about age-related issues so they can better understand and serve older adults.

Infant and Toddler Certificate

This program is for the early childhood professional who works with or is interested in working with children from birth through two years of age.

Special Needs Certificate

Students will receive the skills and resources to work with children with differing abilities from birth through age eight in either an inclusive classroom setting or an exclusive special needs classroom.
