This one-day training class is held the second Saturday of each month from 8 am - 5 pm. Topics include OSHA's Powered Industrial Truck Standard (OSHA Standard 1910.178), forklift design limitations, uses in materials handling, pre-operation check, operator skills and accident prevention. Successful participants will receive a three-year certification in forklift safety, preventative maintenance and driving/operation skills. Safety requirements prohibit open-toe, cloth and high heeled shoes. Students must be 18 years of age in order to operate a forklift.
