Drew Casper was born and raised in Savannah, GA. He attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in History in 2003. He obtained his Masters in Clinical Psychology from Georgia Southern University in 2006. He has worked as a mental health professional at a college counseling center, as a child and family therapist at a high school, and most recently at a Christian counseling center. Drew is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) in Georgia and is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern (LPCi) in Texas. Drew has experience working with individuals, groups, and couples on numerous issues ranging from anxiety and depression to personality disorders and addictions. Drew has taught both undergraduate and graduate-level psychology courses for over seven years. He got his start teaching as a graduate student at in the summer of 2007 and has loved it ever since then. Drew has taught classes at The University of Southern Mississippi, South University in Savannah, GA, Remington College in Ft. Worth, TX, and Tarrant County College in Hurst, TX. He became a full-time faculty member here at Midlands Technical College in 2015. He has taught undergraduate courses in General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Sensation & Perception, Human Sexuality, Child & Adolescent Disorders, Psychology & the Media, Psychology of Religion, Counseling Theories, as well as graduate courses in Behavioral Medicine. Drew has been married to the woman of his dreams for nearly three years and they are expecting their first child in August 2016.
