Healthcare

There is a massive shortage of healthcare workers in SC, particularly middle-skilled jobs requiring some post-secondary education like nurses and technicians.

One reason for the shortage is that baby boomers, the largest segment of our population, are getting older and will need more care as they age. Even though there are many hard-working healthcare professionals on the job today, there are not enough to meet this demand, which will only increase over time. Wages should rise over the next several years and job opportunities will be plentiful, making this a great career for those concerned with job security.
