In-Demand Careers

MTC has identified four expanding industries in the Midlands that desperately need more workers.

Local businesses need employees who are proficient in the specific fields where hiring will take place. Employment growth is largely not going to be in low-skill areas; the new jobs will overwhelmingly require skills and education beyond high school. To build and sustain a pipeline of qualified employees, we have developed new programs, based on feedback from local employers, that focus on the real skills that workers will need to be successful in these careers.
