Commercial Graphics Lab Tour
Airport Campus, 1:30pm-4pm

We are excited to invite you to tour the Graphic Communications Lab! We will be giving individual tours to let you see our facility, meet the faculty and see processes in action! Tours will be given to registered participants every 15 minutes, with the first tour starting at 1:30 PM and the final tour starting at 3:45 PM.

Be Proud Be Pro Mobile Workshop
Airport Campus, 1-1:45pm and 2-2:45pm

The Be Pro Be Proud mobile workshop features a 53-foot, double-expandable 18-wheeler where you can learn about skilled trades and the career opportunities that are abundant in South Carolina, including thousands of well-paying construction jobs. Visitors will feel as if they have walked into an upscale arcade where they will be scored on how well they can drive a commercial truck, weld, operate a piece of heavy equipment, and run a forklift. There are also virtual reality games that teach the techniques of carpentry and diesel mechanics. Most importantly, visitors will walk away with resources and information on how they can begin a career that is essential and in high demand.

How Does Laser Shaft Alignment Work?
Airport Campus | AMSC 123, 1pm-4pm

Join us for a demonstration on how to align two pieces of equipment to reduce vibration led by Matthew Lester. He will be putting a mechanical drive in a precision state by using laser alignment technology!

You're invited to a Meet and Greet with the Machine Tool Technology Program! Stop by the Precision Machining Building on the Beltline Campus to meet the students, tour our machine shop, and see live machine demos. Tours will be given to registered participants between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

CNC Operator/Machinist Information Session
Northeast Campus | CT 132, 2pm-3pm

Machined parts have to be made – and a CNC operator works to program, set up, and operate computer numerical control machines while also maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Join us to learn more about training for these high-demand careers. Jeff Sigley, lead faculty of the CNC Operator program, will demonstrate the CNC Milling machine and answer any questions you may have about this program.

You are invited to a Zoom information session covering the state of the Mechatronics program led by MTC Program Coordinator Stan Frost. During this session, we will discuss the improvements made to the program over the last year. Another topic of discussion, led by Ryan Hemby, Business Solutions Director, will cover apprenticeship opportunities for our corporate partners.
