Library to Offer Free Workshops to the Public

Midlands Technical College Library is hosting a series of free workshops on a variety of topics from basic computer skills to financial tools.  Identical workshops will be conveniently held on both the Airport and Beltline campuses and are open to the public.  No books, materials or registration is necessary.  Just visit the library at the time and date of the workshop you want to attend.  Call or email Laura Baker at 822-3533 or bakerl@midlandstech.edu for more information.

Summon: The Simple Way to Search

In the past, students doing research would have to use the library catalog to find books, then search multiple databases to find magazine, newspaper and journal articles. Summon provides a Google-like search experience, allowing students to use one, simple search box to discover credible and reliable library content.
