The Telecommunications Infrastructure Servicing program is designed to provide qualified technicians for the telecommunications industry. The program provides theory and practice in installing, maintaining, and repairing basic telecommunication equipment and systems. Telecommunication signals and links are presented to enable the students to grasp the fundamentals of signal transmission and switching. Basic industry skills such as safety, wiring techniques and cabling, math, and verbal and written communications are combined with industry specific skills like equipment troubleshooting, networking, and diagnostic computer skills for a well-rounded certificate program. This experience can strategically position today's students for the growing opportunities in the field of telecommunications.
