Orientation is required for all new students. At orientation, you will meet our award-winning faculty and staff, talk with current students, learn about college resources and services, and receive advisement on your program of study. Go to to sign-up for your orientation session.

Before attending your orientation session, you will need to complete the Pre-Advisement Module (PAM). This online, interactive web tool will help you prepare for your advisement and will ensure a smooth transition to MTC. To access and complete PAM, go to and select ‘Pre-Advisement Module’. You will need to use your MyMTC username and password to login to PAM.

6. Complete Advisement and Register for Classes

Your advisor will assist you in selecting courses for your major. Remember, the more thought you have given to your course and schedule preferences before this meeting the more productive it will be. Please review your College Placement Test scores. They will determine which courses you will be placed into your first semester. You may want to retake parts of the test.

7. Pay Tuition and Fees

Each semester there are two fee payment Deadlines. If you register for classes by the first payment deadline and want to keep that schedule, you must pay any balance due by the first payment deadline.

If you register after the first payment deadline (Late Registration) then your balance is due at the time of registration. A late registration fee is charged.

View balance due at your MyMTC account. It will include any financial aid awards. MTC does not mail bills.

8. Buy Books

When you buy books, do not open any packaging or write in them until you are sure that you have the correct books, that the class has not been cancelled due to low enrollment, and that you will not change your mind about your schedule.
