Step 1. Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). MTC's school code is 003993. This step must be completed to qualify for federal and state grants, federal work study, South Carolina Lottery Assistance and student loans. A new FAFSA must be filed each year to determine continued financial eligibility.

Step 2. Supply all documents or copies as required by the Office of Student Financial Services immediately upon request.

Step 3. Complete the application to Midlands Technical College and be admitted to an eligible program of study. (Courses taken under Career Development status, through Continuing Education or for Audit are not eligible for federal or state aid.)
