There are several ways you can receive credit for courses other than sitting in a classroom. This is known as advanced placement. You can receive credit by transferring courses from other college and/or universities, by having taken nationally recognized exams, having taken Advanced Placement courses in high school, having been in the military or by having a history of work experience in your interested field of study.
