DVS offers academic and support services as part of the college's program to help students succeed in their chosen programs of study. Courses in the department meet a variety of student needs.

New or readmitted students whose test scores on the college's placement tests identify academic needs will enroll in DVS courses in math, reading and/or writing before entering the courses required for their degrees.
