The WIA Youth Program, a
federal grant program, is looking to sponsor 17 - 21 year - old individuals
who will be attending MTC for the Fall 2006 Semester. If you are interested
in finding out more about the program, you are invited to come to one of the
following orientation session, to be held in Wade Martin Hall Conference
Room 104 Beltline Campus.

Midlands
TechnicalCollege grant funded
for $1.73 Million
Midlands Technical College’s grant proposal for the
federal TRIO Educational Talent Search Program will receive $345,561 in
the first year of a five-year funding period. The MTC program has been
approved to receive a total of $1.73 million in federal dollars over the
next five years.
MTC’s Educational Talent Search identifies and assists individuals from
disadvantaged backgrounds who have the potential to succeed in higher
education. The program provides services to 950 middle and high school
students in Fairfield and Lexington counties each year.
