MTC Admissions Checklist

Apply online to MTC.  Follow the application link on the home page.  There is a $35 application fee.  Admissions
If you have previously attended college, you must request official copies of your academic transcripts to be sent to the MTC Admissions Office.  If you served on active duty, you must request your military transcript.  Please see the "Transcript Request" section for detailed information.
Apply for Financial Aid.  The FAFSA code for MTC is 003993.  Please allow 4-6 weeks to process.  Check your MyMTC email account regularly after the college has received your application, in case they request additional information from you.  Complete the FAFSA
Take an Assessment Test (or show proof to the Admissions Office that you've taken and passed college level Math and English).  This test will place you into the appropriate Math, English, and Reading courses.  Visit the Student Assessment page for hours of operations. 
Student Assessment
Bring necessary VA application, supporting documentation and forms to the VA Office to establish your MTC VA Record.  Review the Benefit Information link if you're unsure what to bring.
Complete the Pre-Advisement Module (PAM).  PAM must be completed before scheduling an advisement appointment.
Meet with an advisor.  Advisement
Select and register for classes.  Keep a copy of the advisement form for your records.
