Good help is hard to find. One way to obtain great new employees on a temporary basis or to groom them for permanent employment is to have motivated students intern with your company.

What is an Internship?

An internship is a cost-effective approach to supplementing an employer’s existing workforce while providing a student with valuable “hands-on” work experience.

How long is a typical Internship?

In order for the student to gain valuable on-the-job experience we require that an intern work a MINIMUM of 10 weeks. The internship may last longer if desired. The student and employer work together to determine a mutually beneficial schedule.

What is required of employers?

• Provide the intern with meaningful, paid employment.
• Establish learning objectives with the student allowing for valuable work experience.
• Determine and abide by working hours and salary.
• Provide proper training and supervision of work performance.
• At the conclusion of the internship complete and return a Supervisor’s Evaluation Form.
