Open lab is a time when a laboratory is open for the purpose of allowing biology lab students to review materials pertaining to the lab and, time permitting, get a little tutoring from the open lab tutor. The Science Department faculty strongly recommend students visit open lab to reinforce the laboratory exercises. Tutors are usually members of the Science Department's adjunct faculty, although you may see permanent faculty and staff passing through and helping out. We try to answer all questions and make materials available for review for all biology laboratory classes. Times are designed to allow the maximum number of students the opportunity to go to at least one open lab session per week.
