Biology 101 Test Rules
1. You must be on time for the test! The test will begin at the start of class. After 10 minutes, those who are tardy will be
considered absent and they will miss the test.
2. You are allowed to miss one test due to extreme circumstances. Not being prepared is not an acceptable excuse.
Makeup tests will consist of the cumulative final exam counting twice.
3. The tests are usually 45 multiple choice questions worth 2 points and an essay worth 10 points. You will put your
answers on a scantron and you must bring your own No. 2 pencil!
4. You may not leave the room during the test. If you need to leave the room, do so before the test.
5. All materials must be off your desk.
6. Don’t write on the test. If you forget and make any marks, please erase them.
7. Read each question carefully! Note what I am asking for, like which is FALSE or which is NOT...
8. Read all the answers for each question. Don't stop at the first true answer, because it could be "all of the above". Proof
read each question when you're through.
9. Write your essay on the scantron sheet. You may use both sides and write in pen for that section if you prefer.
10. Proof read your essay! I will not give credit for sentences that don't make sense. Use your test as a source for ideas
and correct spelling.
11. You will get zero credit for essays that aren't in essay form - that means complete sentences and paragraphs. I will
not accept lists or outlines of ideas.
12. We will not go over tests after they are graded. Please look over the key after each test.
