4.5 – Systems of Linear Inequalities

Linear Inequalities:

            To Solve:

                        1.)  Graph the inequality on a graph as if it were an equation until it is time to draw the line.

                                    Dotted Line:  if < or >

                                    Solid Line:  if  or

                        2.)  Choose a test point to determine which side of the line the solutions lie.

                        3.)  Shade the side of the line where the solutions lie.
