The Program
The first two semesters provide instruction in the use of precision layout tools, layout techniques, setup and operation of mills, lathes, grinders and other important conventional machines found in the machine shop. The remaining terms include instruction in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programming, setup and operations: plastic injection molding; die making and repair, and jig and fixture design.
- Two year associate degree - Machine Tool Technology (79 credit hours)
- One year "Stop Out" diploma in Machine Tool Technology (44 credit hours)
- Seven (7) different Certificate programs. (Prerequisites may be required)
- Bench work/lathe operations (14 credit hours)
- CNC setup and operations (17 credit hours)
- Maintenance Machinist I (16 credit hours)
- Maintenance Machinist II (19 credit hours)
- Mill and Grinder (15 credit hours)
- Plastic Operations and Moldmaking (14 credit hours)
- Tool Room Machining (18 credit hours)
