The Program

The HVAC/R program at Midlands Technical College is designed to train entry level technicians. Hands-on training is combined with theory to provide students with well balanced preparation for careers that encompass the planning, installation, operation and maintenance of a wide variety of residential and light commercial air conditioning, refrigeration and heating equipment.

• Day classes begin in the Fall or Spring semesters.

• Night classes begin in the Fall only.

• Two-year Associate Degree available in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology (not available at night)

• One-year Diploma available in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanics and one-year program available in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration
