 Human Services Program

Welcome to the Human Services Program!

Welcome to Human Services!  You are about to embark on what can be one of the most rewarding adventures of your life... a career as a Human Services professional.  For this, you will need some guidance and this is what we will offer you in the Human Services Program at MTC.  This Webpage is a basic blue print of what you will need in order to understand what the Human Services Program at MTC can offer you.  This Webpage can be an important resource as you continue in the program.  But to fully understand the HUS program, we recommend that you obtain an HUS Program Manual.  Additionally, Human Services Advisors at both the Airport and Beltline Campus will be available to answer any questions you may have about the Human Services Program at MTC.

When you finally complete your program here and join your colleagues in the field, you will find what we have discovered before you. . . .that Human Services work may not always be easy, but it can give you a sense of accomplishment not present in many other careers.   With a degree in Human Services, you will be able to make your contribution in elder services, substance abuse treatment, protective services, work with adolescents and a wide variety of other populations and settings.

The Human Services Program at Midlands Technical College has a long history of preparing out-standing students for the field.  Our graduates staff many local agencies.

Join with us in this exciting preparation to enter a career in Human Services.  We feel that it is an enriching and rewarding profession. We hope you will to.

Yours in Peace,

Mary M. Rawls, Director of Human Services
