NOTICE OF JOB OPENING
POSITION: Database Administrator (Data Acquisition Director)
DEPARTMENT: BOOST Consortium
HOURS: Monday-Thursday 8:00am a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Airport Campus
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under limited supervision, develop, monitor and maintain data portal for the BOOST Consortium, a grant program funded by the Department of labor, TAACCCT. Included in this position is the requirement to develop data extraction, security, and reporting functions to meet the need of the BOOST Consortium. Requires experience in SQL server development and maintenance, SharePoint development and management and management of client contact systems. Candidate will also be responsible for the training of staff and administrators in the use of the BOOST Portal. Some overnight travel will be required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field + 2 years experience in automated information or communication system design, installation, operation repair, sales or marketing; or Associates degree in computer science, computer technology, or related field + 4 years’ experience in automated information or communication system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing; or High school diploma + 6 years experience in automated information or communication system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
HIRING RANGE: $37,945 - $65,000, Band 06, SC State Classification System. Excellent benefits program that includes: employer provided health, dental, and life insurance; paid holidays; sick and annual leave; and state retirement.
