POSITION: Student Service Program Coordinator II (3 Positions)


DEPARTMENT: Admissions and Recruitment

HOURS: Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday-8:00 am-1:30 p.m.

LOCATION: Airport Campus

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Develops, designs and implements weekly recruitment activities for various applicant pools to include adult learners, high school/middle school students, parents, guidance counselors, teachers and school administrators in the college’s service area such as placement testing, pre-advisement, education fairs, etc. Plan and participates in special campus events. Manages a recruitment Territory; interact and recruit first-year student from the assigned territory. Develops and maintains relationships with high school counselors. Serve to identify enrollment management issues in recruitment territory. Provides comprehensive, one-on-one, admissions and enrollment services to applicants to the College using results from placement, assessment, and career interest testing. Follows-up with prospectives in all phases of enrollment process. Conducts follow up communication through all communication media (phone, email, chat, walk-ins, tours and recruitment events) with prospects, applicants and newly admitted students; working with prospective students to assist in selecting the program of study that best fits their educational needs and professional goals. Plans and delivers presentations to prospective students, parents, high school counselors, community leaders, etc. Conducts campus tours. Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) year experience in student services programs. Preferred: A Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) related experience.) Must relate to people, have an engaging personality and be able to speak with confidence before groups. This position requires frequent travel to high schools and recruitment events. The position may also require the incumbent to load and transport admissions materials, displays and other equipment. Some evening and weekend hours required, especially during the travel season.

HIRING RANGE: $31,182-$44,438, Band 05, SC State Classification System. Excellent benefits program that includes: employer provided health, dental, and life insurance; paid holidays; sick and annual leave; and state retirement.
