Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday-8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
$14-17 per hour, Contractual/No benefits

General Description: The Student Services Program Coordinator for Health Sciences and Nursing is responsible for processing applications and supporting credentials of prospective nursing and health science students. He or she will also work closely with the nursing and health sciences admissions officer to support program-specific admission. Attends planning sessions and meetings with admissions staff, faculty, and student groups. Advises prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the College. The Student Services Program Coordinator generates and mails material to prospective students reflecting changes in their application status including incomplete file letters, decision letters and all supporting packet materials.

The individual also generates daily reports pertaining to the applications, compiles virtual admission folders for other admission and recruitment staff, and periodically audits admission files. Respond to inquiries and concerns from internal and external constituents regarding paperwork related to admission decisions.

The Student Services Program Coordinator must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks, to prioritize workload and to perform duties on a timely basis and within deadlines as well as identify anomalies in data and solve data issues. Perform other duties as assigned.

-Strong interpersonal communication skills
-Must possess the ability to communicate with a diverse constituency including internal offices, external public, students, guidance directors, parents and others that submit and request student application information
-Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
-Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple calls and visitors to ensure quality service
-Knowledge of computer applications to include, but not limited to, MS Office, including: Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access programs

Minimum Qualifications: This position requires Associate's degree with at least three years of office/administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with at least two years of similar experience. In addition, applicants should have advanced computer skills, including Microsoft office software (Excel, Access and Word), and database management experience.
