POSITION: Test Administrator 

The Midlands Technical College Office of Student Assessment has two openings for Test Administrators. There are two different schedules open. The hours of the first position are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and the hours for the second position are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, from 4:30 PM to 9 PM, and Saturday from 9AM to 3PM.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the distribution and collection of examinations and related materials in accordance with departmental testing processes.
- Maintains confidential and secure files on test and student data both electronically and in hard copy format.
- Responsible for monitoring examinations to maintain standard testing conditions; assists in providing general office coverage; prepares reports as required.
- Advises students on testing related matters in accordance to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.

Preferred candidates should have a minimum of an associate degree. Candidates should also possess excellent oral and written communication skills, great customer service skills; possess knowledge of basic office equipment, and ability to work well with other team members.

Contract Position – No Benefits

POSITION: Bookstore Part-time Driver/Delivery Position

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must have a valid SC Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • Must provide a copy of SC Driving Record for last five years
  • Must be able to lift 50 to 75 lbs. repetitively
  • Must be able to maneuver up to 2000 lbs. with a pallet jack
  • Must be to operate a large delivery truck, an oversize van, and a forklift
  • Must have some computer experience.

Job Duties:

  • Pull supplies and merchandise, charge out, and deliver online supply and copy paper Requisitions
  • Make off-campus deliveries
  • Load and unload trucks
    Maintain Bookstore warehouse; to include stacking of excess books and supplies, storage of extra equipment, and upkeep of building
  • Pull books and prepare shipping for online book orders
  • Assist students in locating their books and supplies
  • Perform other related duties

Must be available to work for approximately twenty-four hours per week with extra hours during Bookstore semester Rush periods.

POSITION: SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER

DEPARTMENT: COUNSELING & CAREER SERVICES

LOCATION: AIRPORT & BELTLINE CAMPUSES

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Provide direct interpreting services in a post-secondary educational setting including interpreting/transliteration between students and faculty/staff using American Sign Language. Adhere to the RID Codes of Professional Conduct and continue professional development opportunities by attending conferences and seeking certification.

QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer candidate with an associate’s degree in interpreting and experience interpreting in an educational setting.

HIRING RANGE: $30-$40 an hour depending on degree and certification.
