Title:
Adjunct electrical instructor day and evening

Job description:
Electrical instructor needed to support and assist in developing and maintaining laboratory courses and related activities emphasizing electricity, electronics, blueprint reading, PLC, electrical theory, and motor controls. Responsibilities include overseeing , developing, and maintaining a comprehensive safe program; assisting students and faculty in using electrical and mechanical training equipment and related software; ensuring the readiness of facilities for class activities; teaching laboratory classes ; evaluation and reporting of students' progress and laboratory performance; assign and develop student projects; creating and delivering lecture demonstrations; giving occasional class lectures/tutorial sessions; ensuring smooth and safe operation of the teaching space; overseeing stockroom and related employee(s); and other duties as needed.

Requirements:
Minimum of an associate's degree in electrical or electronic engineering technical area, journeyman's or master electrical license and at least two years of experience in electrical construction or maintenance technician field or a bachelor's degree and five years' experience in the electrical field. A successful candidate must possess the ability to work effectively with others in creatively solving practical problems, be familiar with the fundamentals of electrical theory and electronics, able to use discretion when dealing with confidential information/issues. Above all a candidate must enjoy teaching undergraduate students one-on-one with simple-to-advanced electrical problems.


CONTINUING EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

Position: Adjunct Instructors
Part Time - Contract Positions (No benefits.)

Right now, we have specific, immediate instructional needs in Blueprint reading (residential, light commercial and mechanical) and hydraulics/pneumatics. We also have developmental and teaching needs in many other mechanical areas.

We have random needs in just about any maintenance, industrial and construction field.
Hours can be flexible, with some classes being conducted on both day and night time schedules that are tailored to fit business and community needs.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

    • Preparation and instruction of classes with predetermined course material for
    existing curriculum.
    • Interfacing with business and industry associates to determine and develop
    curriculum for new programs
    • Development of outlines, subject matter, tests and materials for newly defined
    courses
    • Maintaining class records and course documents

Preferred candidates will have previous instructional experience, formal education in the desired field, extensive work experience in the field and the ability to interface well with the public.

Position: Adjunct Instructor
Part Time - Temporary Positions

Midlands Technical College is in need of adjunct instructors in our Health & Medical Continuing Education Program. We currently have openings for Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to teach in our Certified Nursing Assistant program.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation and instruction of classes in classroom, skills lab, and clinical setting
• Assisting with development of outlines, subject matter, tests and materials for the nursing assistant program
• Maintaining class records and course documents.

Preferred candidates must have two years of nursing experience, which includes at least one year of long term care experience.
