Upon successful completion of the Medical Record Coder Program, students will be able to:
Perform functions of a medical record coder in a variety of health care settings.
Participate as an integral team member in the medical care field to provide service for the patient and the provider.
Apply critical thinking skills so as to translate basic medical science knowledge to applications for medical record coding.
Communicate with peers and patients so as to effectively carry out the functions of the medical record coder.
