Online Instructions

Once registered at MTC for an online course, the numbered steps must be completed:

Step 1. Check Browser

Step 2. Take Readi Assessment

Click here to open the Readi Assessment

Readi - Readiness for Education at a Distance Indicator.

This Readi Assessment is required before starting online courses.
You will need to use the following username and password to access the test.

Username: midlands
Password: student

The assessment takes about 15 minutes.
You can save your work and finish later if necessary.

Step 3. Create an Online WebCT Account

Note: You only need to create an account once.

Step 4. Add Online Courses to WebCT Account
Step 5. Read and complete orientation.
  • Go to the orientation course list.
  • Scroll down and click on the Course ID link to view specific course orientation information.

NOTE: Orientations often occur prior to the start date for the semester.

Step 6. Navigating the Online Learning System
To Get to Your Class

Go to midlandstech.edu/onlinelearning and click "Log Into Courses"

Use your username and password.
