Future Educators Association, Midlands Technical College, and YOU!
Welcome to the Home Page of the Midlands Technical College chapter of the Future Educators Association.
If you are considering a career in education, please join us for a time of fun and fellowship. Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 18 at 6 pm in LX 140 on the Airport Campus. JoAnne Boulware (former MTC student and FEA president both at MTC and USC) will be our speaker. She will talk to us about student teaching, transfer to USC, and whatever other questions you might have that she can answer.
The final meeting of Fall semester 2010 will be our End-of-Semester Celebration on Tuesday, December 7 at 4 pm in AC 115. Please bring your favorite educational game (Jeopardy, Trivial Pursuit, etc.) if you have one. Also, we will try to elect a new president at this meeting. Please join us if you can! But please, let me know that you are coming so I can plan for the right amount of food.
If you are unfamiliar with The Corridor of Shame, please watch the 10-minute video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjY69hO0fxk
For online Praxis I preparation go to http://www.learnatest.com/lel/ and create a login name and password. Search for Praxis to find your choices.
Also, USC's FEA/PLC meets the third Monday evening of each month at 6 pm in Wardlaw 115 (At least, they do for now. They are outgrowing the room!) You are welcome to attend either or both sets of meetings.
Active participation in FEA events is necessary to be considered a member of FEA. You must participate in at least two FEA events each academic year to be considered active. If you hope to be allowed to vote in FEA elections, awarded FEA certificates, be considered for scholarships associated with FEA, and reap the many other benefits of belonging to FEA, please make plans to attend the next FEA meeting.
Please contact Kari Beaty at email@example.com and ask to be put on our FEA mailing list. If you are on our mailing list and wish to be removed, please send me an email.
