	Eligibility Requirements

To receive Federal Title IV assistance and state assistance, you must:

File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Demonstrate financial need (except for certain loan programs).
Have a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) Certificate, or have passed an approved “ability to benefit” test, which is administered by Midlands Technical College. Contact the Assessment Office for details.
Be enrolled as a regular student in an eligible program of study.
Be a U. S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen.
Have a valid Social Security Number.
Make satisfactory academic progress according to Student Financial Services Office standards.
Sign a statement of educational purpose and certify that you do not owe a repayment to any Title IV programs and you are not in default on any federal loans. (This information is contained on the FAFSA.)
In order to receive financial aid, you must complete the admissions process.
