Building Systems Certificate

Architectural and land development design processes often require models and renderings that show how the buildings will look after they are build.  Advances in computer aided design (CAD) software and rapid prototyping allow the production of 3-dimensional physical models, photo-realistic computer renderings, and computer animations that allow clients to do a virtual walkthrough of the project before it is built.

The Building Systems Certificate prepares students for employment as entry-level technicians capable of supporting the 2D and 3D CAD and modeling requirements of architectural and civil design firms.

The Building Systems, Compute Aided Design, Mechanical Systems, Manufacturing, and Rapid Prototyping Certificates may be combined together with general education courses to obtain an Associate in Occupational Technology Degree in Design and Manufacturing.
