DESCRIPTION:
A program designed to prepare Radiologic Technologists (X-RAY) in the application of diagnostic procedures on patients in all areas of health care. Hospital rotations in the clinical setting will enhance the students' clinical abilities. During the senior year some hospital rotations will involve weekends and 3:00 P.M.-10:00 P.M. Monday-Friday to enhance the students' clinical education with the trauma patient.

PLACEMENT TEST SCORES REQUIRED TO ENROLL IN CURRICULUM COURSES:

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 83 semester credit hours is required for graduation. Completion of the Radiography curriculum is required for graduation. A minimum grade of "C" must be attained in all radiology and science courses.

PROGRAM NOTES:

1. A pre-admission interview is required prior to acceptance.
2. Radiology courses must be taken in sequence.
3. Course substitutes must be approved by the Program Director.
4. A total of three hours of humanities electives are required.
5. Transfer of credit for both radiology and non-radiology courses will be determined by Program Director.

8. Two observations in the hospital (1/2 Day each/A.M.) are required prior to the applicants interview. Call the Program Director (822-3491) for appointments.
9. Students are required to purchase uniforms. Students must purchase malpractice insurance in the amount of $200,00 each semester (approximate cost - $4.00 per semester).
10. Current First Aid and CPR certification at time of entry.
11. BIO 112 course is not to be taken until program entry, unless approved by the Program Director.
12. Criminal background check and drug screening are required after acceptance and before entry into the program.
