ADVANCED COMPUTER SYSTEMS
Certificate in Engineering Technology (ACS6)
DESCRIPTION:
Computer systems technicians combine a practical hands-on approach with a theoretical approach toward repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting and designing computer and network systems, and other electronic instruments and control devices.
BEGINNING SEMESTERS:
Students may enter the program any semester; however, the Fall Semester provides optimum availability of courses for full-time day students.

PLACEMENT TEST SCORES REQUIRED TO ENROLL IN CURRICULUM COURSES:
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 28 semester hours is required for graduation.
PROGRAM NOTES:
- Either A+ Certification or completion/exemption of the Basic Computer Maintenance Certificate is required as a prerequisite for this certificate.
- Taken together, the Basic Computer Maintenance Certificate and the Advanced Computer Systems Certificates provide the skills required to be a competent technician in the manufacturing, sales, installation, and maintenance of computer and other electronic systems.
