MTC Graduation Rate Information The Midlands Technical College graduation rate for first-time freshmen to higher education who entered the college in a full-time, degree-seeking status in Fall 2004 and graduated within 150 percent of program time was 7.5 percent. Of this entering cohort of 1,489 students, 349 (23.4 percent) transferred to another institution, and 244 (16.4 percent) continued their enrollment at MTC. Therefore, the persistence rate of this same entering cohort of students who graduated, transferred or continued their enrollment within 150 percent of their program time is 47.3 percent. MTC’s annual persistence rate for the Fall 2006 first-time, full-time freshmen who returned to the college in Fall 2007 was 52.3 percent. This is higher than the 2007 ACT national first to second year persistence rate of 51.0 percent for open admission two-year colleges. Follow-up surveys with alumni indicate that 92.2 percent of the graduates surveyed are meeting or have met their educational goal, and 93.0 percent would recommend MTC to others.
