The Midlands Technical College graduation rate for first-time freshmen to higher education who entered the college in a full-time, degree-seeking status in Fall 2008 and graduated within 150 percent of program time was 8.0 percent. Of this entering cohort of 1,558 students, 348 (22 percent) transferred to another institution, and 241 (16 percent) were continuing their education at MTC. Therefore, the persistence rate of this same entering cohort of students who graduated, transferred or continued their enrollment within 150 percent of their program time is 46 percent. MTC's annual persistence rate for the Fall 2009 first-time, full-time freshmen who returned to the college in Fall 2010 was 54.0 percent, equaling the ACT national first to second year persistence for open admission two year colleges.
